In 2011, Sanofi made two strategic acquisitions:
- In China, the acquisition of BMP Sunstone will strengthen the offer provided by the Minsheng Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd joint venture.
- In India, the purchase of Universal Medicare has strengthened Sanofi’s Emerging Markets growth platform. Additionally, this action will favor the creation of a Consumer Healthcare platform in the country.
