A fruitful acquisitions policy

Growing constantly and currently accounting for more than 30% of Sanofi’s sales, emerging markets have become a pillar of the Group’s growth strategy. The acquisitions in 2011 of BMP Sunstone in China and Universal Medicare in India have strengthened Sanofi’s leading position in these markets.   

The BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China) grew remarkably, by 19.8% to €3,467 million.

The majority of Sanofi’s activities grewed in emerging markets : Diabetes +20.1%, Consumer Healthcare +20.8%, Generics +14% and Animal Health +12.4%.
